I really like this machine. It is a solid workhorse. Cam is the downside.

Reviewing after 3days of use: (I’m a freelance software developer and a startup founder- using this lap for development and customer support prospects)

The device feels good to my hands. This is my first DELL Product. (Previous was HP ENVY used almost 8 Years and exchanged it with this). Fingerprints were at a minimum. Unlike some other laptop surfaces, no one will ever confuse this device with a fingerprint magnet. Build quality is solid. The laptop has a 720P webcam with a privacy toggle built-in but the camera quality is not that good this is the only major downside of this lap. The display acts as a stand and provides a lift to the device so that airflow can help cool the machine. It also provides a bit of an ergonomic arch to the keyboard. The keyboard is responsive and snappy. The trackpad is large. The screen showed some light bleed on purely dark screens, but nothing too noticeable. All in all, I thought the IPS display looked sharp. The colors looked good. I never had any problems with viewing angles. Ryzen 5 5500U processor combined with the internal NVME SSD hard drive makes for a fast machine. The PC boots in a matter of seconds. This is not the lightest laptop / 2-in-1 out there. It is not the smallest, either, but I found it hit the sweet spot in terms of size and portability. Now, I like that the monitor doubles as a riser to help provide airflow when the laptop is on a desk, but on my lap, it gets a bit uncomfortable having the monitor dig into my legs.

And the computer comes with a minimal amount of bloatware or pre-installed software, the laptop comes with a 15-Month McAfee and MSOffice 2019. Personally, I don’t like McAfee so uninstalled it. I will just use Windows Defender.

I really like this machine. It is a solid workhorse. The performance of the Ryzen 5500U processor and the battery life really impressed me. I love how it looks. I love the display. I love the keyboard and the touchpad. It is a very solid laptop 2-in-1 computer. (But I’m not using it as TAB mode).

Excellent for programming and casual gaming.

Build quality is good as well as the performance.

The audio is great.

The display is good… it’s more than enough bright for daily use.

The stylus works like a charm.

Only the webcam is average… Just like any other laptop in this range.

So far I am happy. Go for it if u r looking for a 2 in 1.

I have noticed IPS glow on the side… It’s not much but it’s present.

A glass trackpad is present… It’s great.

A go-ahead to buy 2-in-1 in this range

This is a continuation of the previous review I posted about this product.

After finding the 1st order defective, since there was no return, I ordered a replacement.

I expected the same issues in this laptop too. But I was wrong.

The replacement is working perfectly fine. The touch is very smooth, the screen has good resolution, the mouse pad is working perfectly and there is no lag in the transition.

It was just my bad luck that I received a defective piece on the 1st go.

It is a good option to buy in the 2-in-1 category at this price.

A total workhorse in a deal!!!

The best in the segment

Blindly go for it if you are an engineering student!!

The processor is a workhorse it handles things very smoothly

The display is great compared to competitions…..it is more or less calibrated like OLED displays and the quality is amazing.

The audio really shocked me it was really impressive the stereo speakers are really so good and if you love to listen to music in open this machine won’t disappoint you ever

The pen is also great and the overall look of the laptop is very sleek and premium.

Good product

Consultant by profession…this laptop is very handy in traveling and regular use. But still lags if compared to near-range products like MacBook air…also windows updates and graphic card configuration are a mess…paying extra bucks for a graphic card and then after two updates it stops working n u have to reinstall older version sucks.

Build quality good. But comes with so many issues.

Agreed it has got powerful ryzen 5000 series. And ram upgradability. And greater build quality and premium.

But it has got many issues.

First I ordered. Just flexed 360 and used it to write notes already a dent came off. Not sure. If I noticed before. Existing issue.

And can see some issue with the power button sometimes works sometimes don’t. Not sure if this and software issue.

And returned the product.

And got a new one. Which came with so much screen bleeding. I understand few products in its display have this issue. But as long we don’t disturb the screen it will not enlarge or depend on the intensity.

But when you start taking notes write something we have to use the touch screen. Either way. It will expand. Check if your laptop has a screen bleed issue. Better to get it resolved soon.

And the main thing I have brought this touch laptop is to take notes, not for touch Interface.

In this case, windows don’t have a better UI as android does.

With a 14 inch screen and 1.5 kg. You’ll feel very difficult to handle. And keyboard can easily get scratched over time.

It is not like a surface pro where we can detach. The display and use like a tab.

And the cost of a touch screen display would be around 10-15k if gets broken. Consider all this before buying.

It should be handled with so much care.

Since this is the beginning of 2 in 1 laptop it takes time to make it more affordable along with build quality.

Just Decent

I bought this laptop (512 GB SSD with an active pen) last week (6th Oct 2021)

  1. The build quality is decent and the performance is really good
  2. I got a 7 day (yes 7 not 30 as per the reviews) trial version of MS Office. I mean what is the point of this, better to exclude this from the product description.
  3. The Active Pen, although you get in the box, is below average at best. It’s not at all smooth and consistent. You can’t even use it in MS Paint, because the line/picture that you try to draw keeps breaking.

Negative Review 3

Don’t buy. Comes with serious display issues, that could not be solved by Dell or Microsoft.

Don’t buy. Comes with serious display issues, that could not be resolved by Dell or Microsoft. Worst image quality. Used it for 15 days and found the issue. Contacted Dell and Microsoft, experts have suggested almost all troubleshooting steps up to the clean installation of windows, but the issue could not be resolved.

Negative Review 4

System software issues – Not the best Dell Product

The system hardware is great, the feel of the product is premium, and screen response gets delayed once you open the touch apps.

The internal software has a glitch because of which I am facing issues, this might not happen in every system but it’s happening with my system.

Sound output is good in a room with no fan noise, otherwise, you would need headphones. The product seems very durable.

Negative Review 5

The hinge broke within 2 months of use

The laptop performance is good but the build quality I got for mine is ridiculous. The hinge broke within 2 months. It’s pretty obvious that if you’re going to sell a laptop whose key feature is that it can rotate 360 and turn into a tablet then you’re going to make the hinge the most durable part of the laptop. Make sure the hinge you got on yours is not too tight or the plastic on it is starting to come off.
