Best mechanical keyboard. Solid looks, smooth operation.
Check the images I uploaded, especially the comparison with HP K100. In fact, there is no comparison of HP 100 with this keyboard. Because that is 500 bucks and this one is five times costlier than that. The size of the TVS Gold Bharat USB wired is big enough. More than it would have been awkward and uncomfortable.
In looks, the keyboard is sturdy, solid, and strong and in operation, it is soft and melodic key typing sounds. It is not noised if one likes the keyboard and if not then the sound is noise and size is absurd.
I urge the sellers to upload the product images so that the customer could have a good look at the product from angles to make the decision to buy. I also urge my fellow customers to please upload product images for being helpful to others. Hope mine will help someone else.
The keyboard is as good as shown on the webpage in the product image. I thought the model must be older. But to my surprise, it is manufactured in Feb. 2020. Above all TVS electronics is Karnataka based company that makes this keyboard an Indian product so on that count also I feel good to have this.
It is with a USB keyboard. MRP is Rs. 2770 and I got at Rs. 2568/- as Appario Retail was selling more than it.
The only thing I fear is that the color of keywords on keys is less bright compared to others but that does not affect its working.
My views are that the product must go on for years and for such a product some cost has to be paid. I have two other regular mechanical keyboards lighter in weight and good performance, but this one has no comparison. This keyboard is not a ‘use and throws’ hardware. As I said it will get old with me. Hopefully, I will need another mechanical keyboard in the year 2030. Get it and forget to purchase any keyboards for years to come.

Good typing experience has given the price but didn’t work out for me.
I had to return this keyboard.
Just for context, I use a CoolerMaster keyboard with Cherry MX brown switches. I needed another keyboard for the office but was looking for a cheaper alternative with mechanical switches.
This keyboard provided a great typing experience given the price point but I had to return it because it didn’t match three of my use cases.
1. It’s very big and bulky, it takes up a lot of real estate on my table where I keep dozen other things.
2. The Chinese blue switches were pretty awesome in typing but very loud for my office use.
3. The backspace button was small, I use it a lot and prefer it wider like in other standard layouts.
Although the built quality is not that sturdy and can easily flex I felt pretty confident that it would last long.
Overall I would suggest giving this keyboard a try as it provides a great typing experience with good tactile feedback without burning a hole in your pocket. It just didn’t work out for my use case.

Amazing keyboard specially if you are a trader
You will not get disappointed with this product ever. It has the best keys with a spring action. If you are a stock market trader or have a habit of pressing the keyboard with a heavy hand, you will love this product. I have been using TVS keyboards for the last 10 years and they are simply awesome. The Millenials may not like it as they are used to laptop keyboards which are soft.

Best mechanical keyboard at the price.
One of the best mechanical keyboards at the price. It is clickety / crackly – ma not be great for really quiet offices, but just right for home use, the tactile response is just amazing. This is my second TVSE keyboard, the controller chip died on the previous one, and buying a new one is simpler than getting the controller chip replaced – AND yes, it will end up either in the plastic recycle bin or in a landfill somewhere.
For the moment, am holding on to the old one, to see if I can replace the chip when I have some time on my hands.
Great for casual gaming as well!

Big, sturdy, and dependable.
This thing is full size, very sturdy, and gives a feeling that it will last a decade. Full 104 keys. Mechanical keyboard. Fantastic sound with subtle softness when you type. Marvelous touch and reassuring sound. Never miss a keypress, the response is so good. After buying it I was always searching for an excuse to type something. It is so good. If your main need is typing, look no further. These are not backlit, so cannot use them in dark. But I tell you, the backlit ones are also not so clear in the dark unless you are quite familiar with the keyboard layout. I have one from HP, its backlight is so weak that I had to paste printed plastic alphabets on keycaps. This one does not use Cherry MX switches but some Chinese ones but does the job quite fantastic. Looks 200% reliable ….but, this thing is big…this is a big-size keyboard. Unless you have plenty of space for a keyboard on your table, think twice before buying it. Yes, the backspace key is a small one but you will get used to it. This is a curved-shaped keyboard as you can see from the images. For the price of Rs 2599/- this is a fantastic mechanical keyboard and it will give you good satisfaction when you type on it. If you don’t intend to use it for gaming then this is the best choice for long hours of typing.

Don’t buy for more than Rs. 1200
This keyboard is overhyped and overpriced just because it is an Indian-made product and is used widely in government offices. Sturdy but bulky, no function key or media controls, small easy-to-miss backspace key. Go for Logitech G213 if you can get it on sale. Here are the pros and cons of TVS Gold Bharat in detail:
Pros:
1. Sturdy build, although this keyboard is made entirely of plastic, rather than metal.
2. Good typing experience. Not as good as higher-end mechanical keyboards, also the switches are NOT Cherry MX Blue, but rather Long Hua. However, these are good enough for a pleasant typing experience. There are some issues, though, like small keys and bulkiness of the case, which I detail in the cons.
3. Classic design: when I unboxed the keyboard, I was immediately hit by 90s nostalgia from this retro design, with an L-shaped enter key, small backspace, old-style square-shaped Num Lock, Caps Lock, Scroll Lock.
Cons:
1. No RGB or any other kind of backlighting.
2. No function key or media controls. Instead of the function key, you have another Windows key on the right side. If you are going to use this in a government office only for typing up documents, they won’t mind the missing features. But if you are used to adjusting volume, brightness, etc., or having other functions on your keyboard, you will find none of those things here.
3. Small backspace key, which is very easy to miss. If you are like me, you will constantly hit the backslash key instead. The keys are generally on the smaller side, so you will be prone to making errors.
4. While there is sufficient key travel, the keys don’t rise above the case nearly enough. This hampers the typing experience somewhat, and it also makes it EXTREMELY DIFFICULT to remove the keys for the purpose of cleaning the keyboard.
5. Needlessly bulky. It takes up too much real estate, almost like a typewriter. Look at a keyboard like the Logitech G512 and see how economical the case design is. One other problem is that this keyboard is too tall (i.e. rises up from the surface of your table too high), which will cause wrist strain unless you use a palm rest, which is not provided.
6. Way overpriced. For being this basic, I would not pay more than Rs. 1200 for the TVS Gold. At the Rs. 2500 price range, there are many other keyboards on the market with much better features. Don’t fall for the hype.

Low-quality product
Don’t buy this compromised product. I had requested for return and refund, but Amazon did a replacement. I am not going to use it just because amazon thinks my problem was with the particular piece. These are made from substandard materials.

No local service Center, Serial Number Mismatch, and AMAZON doesn’t Care
I have just wasted my Rs. 2600 on this item, as no local service centre is available and serial number mismatch on invoice and product, and Amazon CC executives were behaving rudely and told me that I should have checked the serial number on delivery. So beware of this seller.

Not at par with value for money
No doubt keyboard is very good. But at this price, they should make this keyboard wireless. They can also put the light on the keyboard if we work without light.

True mechanical keyboard But the key switch failed within 1 year!
I was a bit apprehensive since the key switches are not from original cherry MX manufacturers. However, it turns out that the keys do have good tactile feedback and a true mechanical feel. Happy with the purchase. Feels solid and durable.
The only thing which bothers me is the missing Fn key. It should be possible to map the “Menu” key to the “Fn” key using OS-specific key mapping software … but that will be a hassle. That is the only reason it has lost 1 star.
The key “R” was giving problems for the past few months, I had to apply extra pressure to make it work and today it stopped working completely! I bought this on 12 Feb 2020, so I have 3 more days to claim a 1-year manufacturer warranty but there is no TVS service center in my town, and not sure if it is even worth it. The cherry MX-like key switches are not user-replaceable and local shops could not repair them. Though there is no issue with all other keys, I was hoping to replace the defective key with one of the number pad key switches but it is not designed that way. One important reason to buy a mechanical keyboard is its reliability too but looks like the key switches used are not high-quality cherry MX switches but of some low quality. So I have reduced my rating to 2 stars.
