Today more than 60 percent population of the world unknown or not suppose to use internet. Large part of the world population live their life without knowing internet. Sometimes when we try to understand that how to connect those people don’t know anything about Internet. People from remote area and people from developing countries where basic infrastructure of broadband services couldn’t reach at that point and at that place where internet available for time being. As Google is the world leader in Internet communications. So, Google introduced remarkable offline map feature for all. Now user can download whole area in Google map. Later when user unable to connect internet, can easily use google map offline feature.
By this feature user can done his/her navigation need while driving without expensive navigation devices. In my point of view it can be prove big threat for navigation device making companies. When all the area can easily download in our smart phone then we don’t need to carry additional gadget while driving.
Taxi driver, tourist, taking lovers etc.. really love this feature.
Google first previewed these new capabilities during Google I/O in May, and today Google gradually rolling out the first set of these improvements with the latest version of Google Maps on Android (coming soon to iOS). Over time, we’ll be introducing even more offline features to help you find your way—even when you can’t find a connection..
