–This is actually pretty awesome its interactive enough to keep you having fun, but also doesn’t require you to do a million tasks. It reminds me of the old Harry Potter games that came out on console. But I definitely love the depth and interaction the game has. Visuals are wonderful and story is just as great! Cant stop playing it, seriously first time I find a game addicting
-I’m all about the story line and I think the graphics are a solid A-. However, I am really disappointed with the game play. I was hoping for something a little more exciting then just tapping the screen and then waiting forever just to finish one task. The story ark and character choices are the only parts of the game play I can really give any kind of good review regarding everything else leaves so much to be disired especially if they want money for better advancement through the game.
-Love the graphics, the storyline and the concept but unfortunately you can’t really get hooked to the game. You can spend like a minute playing and then might as well forget it for an hour or so so the energy can refill.. might as well consider rewarding exploring Hogwarts. Like finding Dobby.. but make it more rewarding than one energy point? Found him twice since I started playing.. so tldr start is good but needs improvement to get ppl hooked!
-I really love this game and the first few classes during the beginning chapters. Like most it would be more helpful with either a quicker energy fill up or side games to help collect energy. There are several things you could do for that start with a smaller time frame for the first five or so energy then increase the time the high it goes. Have mini games that when finished either you win gems, energy or coins. The last could be to have more spots of hidden energy and have faster times between them. Just a thought.
-Its pretty fun and the story is great! … but you can only play for 5 to 10 min at a time. Then you’ll wait for an hour or so for your energy can recharge, check back and play for another 5-10 min . Thats without spending money of course. The waiting for energy kind of makes sense in a way. Like it’ll take 3 hours to finish potions class or 1 hour looking for a book in the library. Kinda makes it simi realistic in that way. Also dont think to much about the choices your faced with, go with what you feel. Makes for a better experience.
-It’s a nice game with a good storyline. The only problem I encountered is that the developers are fishing for money too much. You get very little, even if you spend real money in this game. Nothing lasts. Sometimes we have to spend coins to complete quests. For example – To unlock Ben you have to spend 125 coins and when you complete a quest the reward may not exceed 25 coins, which is SO stingy of the developers. The clothes and accessories are unreasonably expensive.
-I’ve always wanted a game where I could go to Hogwarts and take classes and stuff. From that perspective, this game has its enjoyable moments. Overall the gameplay itself so far seems a bit too simple and shallow. Not a fan of the “energy” model, though, which can often leave you stuck in the middle of events, which themselves are basically only solved by spending energy. Not sure if I’ll keep it. Need some more time.
-It’s a good game interesting and quite fun to play but I really hate the energy bar. I’m also confused about the time in which this is set. It would be great if you could pick your friends, have a more pottermore sorting hat, nicer/more modern clothes and looks, be able to interact with other players/make friends with them/earn house points and maybe more freedom to explore Hogwarts- being able to control your movement. Otherwise a good game.
-Omg I’ve only been playing this game for a little but it’s so amazing! I got it the first day it came out and I am very impressed. It’s extremely interactive, you get to design your character, eyes and all. You get to goose what you want to do, what you want to say and how you want to act. It’s honestly loads of fun and it’s an exact replica of harry Potter, most games don’t capture that well. Besides a few loading issues this game is great, and I hardly even get those.
-The game has everything a harry potter game needs and is best in Graphics , Controls and Storyline and have the very potential to be the best game but what makes me go nuts is the whole idea of energy. It takes one and a half hours to get back 24/24 energy and drain within 4 minutes while on a task. Please increase the limit of energy and also reduce its regenaration time. It would be a great help to all the players around the world.
-I love what the developers did to make this game. There is so much more they can do with this game to make it better but for now its okay. Its easy to play a 5 year old can play it. Having said that , I just started and it will get boring if all I do is read and answer questions. It would be amazing if they make a game were you can walk around and be a part of the game more. I would pay $10-20 if they can make a game were it feels more like a RPG and not like a copy of some other games out there.
-It seemed like a whimsical point and click adventure much like telltale games. But suddenly…you hit the first paywall. I feel stuck in the middle of a story action and now have to wait half an hour to not be strangled by devil’s snare OR pay money to move on. I get how free to play systems work, but there has to be a better way to implement this.
-Of all the options thay could have been done for a Harry Potter game this surely is not among the best. I thank the developers for their efforts and implementing the idea of personal experience of hogwarts at last in a game but i wish i could walk freely in hogwarts by using a joystick or buttons for spells instead of drawing lines every time and discover hogwarts maybe like the life is strange game in which you can fully feel the atmosphere do not need energy filling to do tasks .in short a game we could do many things outside of the main story. Then we could enjoy the experience much better. Hopefully this wish will be taken into consideration.
-You might as well have a credit card on standby. Energy drains too quickly, so you’re forced to wait unless you want to spend money to buy more. Even then it feels like the energy you bought would be gone in an instant. Some of the tasks cost an outrageous amount of energy. Overall, it’s a cool concept, but it’s definitely missing a lot of features that could make it great.
-I want to love this game, but it’s missing a lot to get to that point. The energy issue is huge. I can play for about 3 to 5mins before I’m out of energy. Other mobile games with very poor energy management, you can leave and feel like progress has been made even in your absence. This isn’t like that at all. I just feel there’s no reason for me to spend money when I’m going to get only 5mins of play out of it. I can buy a Nintendo Switch game and get way more enjoyment. I’m a huge HP fan. I’ve been looking forward to this game, but yeah… It missed the mark. I love the characters in this. I like the story. I’m invested, even with the minimal amount I’ve been able to progress in – I love that I could choose my house and not get sorted randomly. There are good points to this. But it needs more to be a good game for mobile.
-It’s a good game really only downside of the game are the gems it’s like u are forced to buy energy takes a while to get back and draines easily. It’s like u can’t get into the Harry Potter world not very interacting till you are out of energy u only play by yourself no other wizards or witches in RL to interact with. The game is good just make it better reasonable prices get some reward if it does not changed in the next 6 months I will uninstall please devs listen to what everyone is saying
-Great graphics, fun story and it really captured that magical zest of the Harry potter universe. Big problem with the game is the energy bar. I’ve no problem with having such a system like many other f2p games but this one takes the biscuit. There aren’t really any ways to accumulate energy apart from waiting or paying and it gets consumed way too fast.
-I recently jumped on the Harry Potter bandwagon, and picked up the first book. Finished the entire series in about two weeks, but I would’ve read it faster if it weren’t for my everyday classes. Though I wish there was an option for a Spruce wand, (personal preference is all 😉 ), I love the game so far and all that it has to offer! Perfect for Potterheads new and old.
-I do like this game it great. But iam in the same boat as most. Energy needs to refill quicker or vidoes or mini games need to be add to refill energy and cheaper outfits added. Add more content to to game to make people want to play. And side missions only one mission at a time is boring. Give people more content doing one mission in minutes or seconds and then waiting nearly 2 hours to refill energy is crazy. People will get bored quick and stop playing
-So I am a die hard Harry Potter fan. I really wanted to like this game. But it’s not fun and efficient gameplay. I run out of energy in less than five minutes. Maybe adding a way to watch ads to get more life or offering bundle offers will improve the game play. It would stretch the amount of time between interactions. So the energy doesn’t just burn up in half of one five star activity. Just please. Make some changes I would gladly dump my money in if it was worth my while in gameplay.
-This game is so cute. I’m a ps4 / VR gamer but I can appreciate small simple games that have a bit of nostalgia and all together a fun way to pass time.I am a huge huge Harry Potter fan I’m exactly the same age as the actors and I was about 11 when the movies came out. When the books came out I was about 8 and I started reading right away. This game is fun and goes over the simple parts of the story very light-hearted and calming the only thing is I wish that you had a 360 view of the rooms in Hogwarts, otherwise this game is definitely worth a try.
-Well, few minutes after downloading, I immediately was placed in the screen where it says Diagon Alley at the top middle part of the screen due to internet issues. I was really psyched to play this game for so long, and now that I have tested it out, it kinda didn’t turn out to be the way I was expecting it to be. It would really help if there was a offline version of this game and would support every kind of internet strength. But still, really cool game from the first glance, so, keep it up 😊
-It’s got great graphics, but other than that, it could be so much better. There’s limitless potential for a game around a universe like Harry Potter. I really don’t like the energy refill concept and all the micro transactions. It feels almost empty and since you only get small tidbits of the story at a time it’s not that interesting either. I wish it was a game that you just paid 20 dollars for and you could really immerse yourself in the story and improving your character. Unfortunately this is another game that thrives off of the “free” micro transaction model.
-I would consider this one of the better Harry Potter games I’ve seen in a while if not for one problem, this game uses micro transactions as a crutch. If you have no problems with spending money on games then this is a good game for you, if you do have issues with money thou this turns into a glorified waiting game for your stamina bar to refill. Will raise score if these issues get looked at.
-I already love this game! Even tho i just started an hour ago. I love how i customize my character, how the story flows (like in Harry Potter books), and so much more! The only reason why i gave 4 stars is because the game is still a bit lagging ‘cuz it was releazed just two days ago thats why it needs some fix… or maybe its just my wifi😅 GREAT GAME!! Love it!!
-Nothing is as magical as the world of Harry Potter… That is until you play this game and find out that money is the real magic. It’s a fun little game and if there was a way to play it for a flat fee I probably would. Having to wait for magic or pay to get more doesn’t feel right for what is essentially licensed fan fiction. Don’t get me wrong it’s enjoyable and I will play it from time to time but it could have been so much better.
-It’s a fun game. Feels very much like the old point and click adventure games of the past (Sam and Max esq). My biggest complaint, much like everyone else, is the energy. It stops the flow of the game and is clearly a cash grab. Four minutes for one point of energy puts it at an hour and forty minutes to get my current max amount (25). The cosmetic items should also be more moderately priced. Other than that, the game is a good time killer and fun dive into the HP universe.
-This game could easily be a four or a five-star, but the energy system takes a lot of the fun out of the game. Four minutes for one energy is too long. In order to complete lessons, you pretty much need to wait for the meter to fill all the way back up before even starting. And even early on in the game, that takes nearly two hours to happen. Most interactive story apps have a two-minute run time for energy. If the refill time we’re adjusted similarly, I think this game would flow a lot smoother.
-A fun and addicting game. I am driven nuts by having to wait for hours on end to continue the story, though there is a lot to do around the castle. The biggest problem I have is how long it takes for energy to rebuild. 4 minutes for one energy is a ridiculously long time. Even shaving a single minute off seems a lot more reasonable than the current wait. Other than that great game so far, really simple to pick up.
-I think the story line is fantastic so far. I like the idea behind the beginning (those playing will understand) however I totally get the need for micro-transactions, but I feel forced to have to pay. Simple tasks take hours to finish unless you buy gems to get energy. Pretty messed up mechanic for starting out the game, but I will be patient if it means playing a game we’ve been waiting for, for years
-Loving it so far! Just finished chapter 2 and I am so excited to continue! Set during the time Baby Harry Potter becomes an orphan, so no chance of you meeting the students you love but all the teachers are there! Story is creative and new which I love! Just wish there was a more creative way to choose your house. I’d like for there to be a quiz of some sort instead of just telling the hat which house you want. Graphics are decent, character creation is simple with limited choices which is perfect to get the game going quickly. Connects to your facebook account which is an added bonus for saving your progress between devices.
-So far this exceeds my expectations for a mobile game. Definetely has the polish and passion that you expect from Harry Potter anything. I love the story so far ! SPOILER ALERT I love how the game takes place right after Harry survived voldermort the first time. It provides a parralell perspective to a time when things were relatively calm in the wizarding world while bringing a fresh new plot to drive your character into. SLYTHERINS RULE
-This game has a fun storyline, but once you finish the tutorial, it’s basically all down hill, with tons of waiting for energy to fill up. It has great graphics, but I don’t think I’ll be continuing the game. Also there are not any options for curly hair unless you are on a high level. I wish this was a virtual world where we could chat with people. Instead it’s just one of those Kardashian games with Hogwarts outfits.
-The game is good and the graphics are flawless. But i found the energy-centered and the fact that i have to spend $1 for energy that last for not even 10 minutes. I played this kind of game in the past too but the time needed to repoad the energy is rather shorter than this. I need to wait for 4 minutes for one energy unless i buy some gems and buy more energy. You can give use alternatives such as coffee or energy drinks or food (i mean i enter the great hall that full with food but cannot eat???). You might just put ads instead because I’m just a student and can’t afford paying those gems and would rather to watch ads.
-So far, I’ve really loved the game. I loved how we can create potions, cast spells, talk to other fellow Hogwarts students and all that. I love the fact that we can create different scenes with the choices given. Graphics are also very very nice and everything has been really interesting. Although, I wish for one thing: 1. To be able to walk(or run) and move the character around myselfso that the character could explore the places better and so that it could waste time while waiting for the energy to replenish.
-The game itself is very fun to play, and I love Harry Potter! But just like what everyone else is saying the wait for energy is way too long. If there was some kinda video to watch for gaining free energy that would nice. And the amount of gems needed for some quests are just plain crazy, as some people may not be willing to spend that much money on a game. All in all, it’s a very good game.
-I really wany to give this game 5 stars, because in theory it’s a fun game. Unfortunately the farther along you get in it, the more unplayable it is. It takes almost 2 hours for your energy to completely recharge, and even fully charged it only gets you like a minute of game play, not even. I wish there was a least more to do while I wait but there’s not. I’m only a day in and I’m already losing interest :/ I really hope they fix this in an update and soon, the game would be so much more fun.
-It’s a lovely game. Truly, the art is wonderful, the concept fabulous. But the prices! The wait time! I don’t know what’s worse. This game is going in a great direction but there are plenty of ways to make it better. Also why don’t you merge potter more with this app? Not necessarily all of it. But it would have been nice if I could have taken a quiz before I got my wand. Or taken a quiz before I got sorted into my house.
-This game has the potential to be great. I was going to spend money on this game but there’s nothing really worth buying in game. If there was a wider variety of things to buy I would be more influenced to spend. I understand classes take time to finish because of energy. But I literally open the game spend my energy in Almost a minute then close the game. If there was some sort of activity we could do in game that didn’t cost energy and actually give me a reason to stay on the game, I’d probably be influenced to spend! The longer sessions people play in one sitting the more they might spend. It’s common sense.
