I’ve been a desktop Firefox user for a very long time now but only recently decided I will give the app a better chance. So far so good. One niggly thing, though: when a link is launched outside of Firefox and Firefox opens that link in a new tab and one taps the back button, the tab then closes. I really dislike this logic. Even Chrome does it. Please add a setting to leave the tab open and simply close Firefox. This is how tabs opened from Firefox behave. In fact, also add an option to define if Firefox should close or not including the option of displaying a toast saying to double-tap back to exit. Now that would be awesome!
Sadly recent upgrade does not work, even with Beta version on my Android 6 mobile. Does not load web site, but if I tap on a tab, I see web site in small window that will not go full screen. No probs with Firefox Focus, thank fully. Please remedy.
While the browser is great, I am on a pixel 1 with my display size set to small. And because of this it loads the tabbed tablet UI in my address bar, which makes it extremely clunky and congested.
After update to 61.0 it now constantly unloads itself, or crashes. I’m not sure, but I used to be able to leave Firefox open in the background, with active tabs, and go back to an active session with previous webpage data. Now, after the update, I go back to Firefox only to find a new session, with all my active pages removed. Please fix this, and make it how it was before.

This Android app is somewhat useful, but way too slow. Seriously, I wanted to use this browser, but other browsers are superior in speed and even saving a webpage into PDF isn’t such a hassle.
Why do you keep installing ADD ONS I HAVE UNINSTALLED!!!!!!!Load time is incredibly slow. Most of add one don’t work at all, or for my platform. Safer to use than any other.
Firefox got it right this time. It’s fast it’s not cluttered never crashes. And honestly that’s on a computer and for the phone. Syncs seamlessly with the computer. So much easier to use than any other browser I’ve tried.
I love using firefox for my laptop and tablet, but it’s ok on the phone. I like how I can press the icon on top of the page to turn the background black for reading, and the add-ons work nicely. One downside is that on a lot of websites I have to pressback twice, otherwise it only goings back to the top of the page when I just want to leave. Sometimes links on google and other websites don’t turn purple after visiting a site, making it difficult to remember if I had already went there or not. But overall, it’s doing alright, especially when I was having months of trouble with chrome a few months back. It’s my preferred go tp web browser now.
Firefox won’t open any eBay pages even though my pc can. It says something about the whole site but this doesn’t happen on Firefox for Windows. Useless application as it keeps kicking me off of ebay
Secure and fast. I also like that links open in the background so you can open multiple links and open Firefox after you opened all links.
Still can’t permanently select “request desktop site” and can’t get rid of “top sites” from a closed tab. Please get rid of these features
Addons in the app are mixed with windows version and don’t work. Also sometimes typing into the search bar at a new tap page randomly makes a bookmarked page load, instead of googleing the random text
It is the best android browser! However it would be nice if we could manage bookmark’s folders in the android version just as well as we can do it in desktop version.
Load time at start is normal but when I start my first search, the slower is unbearable. Idk whats loading behind the apps.
The one and only browser! Fair, independant, safe, stable & unique – plus adjustable to exactly fit your needs. Once you have gotten into it, you wont be using any other browser on any other platform.
Im using desktop version, so I tried mobile as well. The problem is there is no back/forward button easily accessible, so I need other browser. If is is possible to add them, please let me know.
Den muterte dritt grisen! xD
What’s great about firefox on phone is that you can sync your history with your device on your pc. In this way, your precious history isn’t deleted. Chrome and other browsers I have tried out is OK, but this function is best on Firefox. What I love the most is that you can play YouTube videos simultaneously as you do other things. Thanks fot that!! But there are two things I miss. First thing is that it doesn’t have a function to search for that picture on google. It would be great to have that function available here too. Second is that I can’t view full history. I don’t know if it’s fused with the search-bar, but it would be great to view full history here too.:)
Overall, Firefox is a great browser. Tracking protection and being able to use extensions such as uBlock Origin is great for privacy. However, it could use some improvements. First, the app crashes way to frequently. Second, it would be nice to have a pull to refresh tool like other browsers. Third, I would like a searchbar widget for the homescreen.
Looks good. Doesn’t work good. Pages take too long to load, sometimes totally failing to do so. (Wi-Fi is fast enough, Chrome loads in less than a second) I installed this thinking about the Firefox sync feature, but if core functionality is not working then that doesn’t matter. [Nokia 6 2017 btw, in case the problem is device specific].
Well so far the update seems to be okay. But they took away the Search Bar Widget and I hope they bring it back. So I’m rating this app 2 stars in hopes that customer service will read my review and consider bringing the search bar back. Thank you
Chrome and Dolphin fail constantly. I don’t know who’s to blame but when Google’s browser doesnt work on their own OS, I question why I own so much of their stock. Firefox, as always, works like a charm without constant failures. Ol’ reliable. Thank you.
I surprised of this web browser has really good reputation for years, when I downloaded to my phone to try out and replace Google Chrome which cannot do screenshot in Incognito mode anymore. This browser is wicked slow with desktop mode, just so lag! I have very bad experience with it!
Like others I’ve been a loyal user since the windows xp days. It’s unfortunate that this browser on a daily basis does a force close, Many people commenting the same thing! Cmon Firefox buddies, Get it right, Really trying to avoid moving on.
Used to be great. It had “text-only zoom”, and a “tap to reflow” extension. These are essential for mobile. Now taken away, so no longer possible to increase font size without blowing up the whole page. I hate and scrolling back and forth on mobile websites. Result is useless.
I’m quite puzzled by how a browser of such repute is lagging on scrolling through basic websites like Facebook. I’m just bewildered. Have tried re-installing and clearing cache etc. I’m on a Pixel XL 2 device where nothing else lags. Just completely bewildered.
Use chrome, edge or hell even Mozilla own Firefox focus and then use this browser. Even on high-end phones, the performance is terrible. Choppy scrolling and dropped frames everywhere. Shame because it’s the opposite of Firefox on the desktop. Will you guys ever fix this? It’s been like this since the apps inception.
Edit: new phone android oreo…. still 20 seconds to load a page.. Gross. Still absolute garbage. Needs options to turn things off. I’m tired of being forced to use “about config” to disable the useless bloat features of firefox. Way to consistently lower the bar.
This remains my favourite browser on tablet. I’ve so rarely had any problems with it, and the annoyances are few and far between. Options allow me to get it to work the way I prefer. What more could I want?
Why does this app keep crashing? Even when I’m not on it, I’ll get a notification that FireFox has stopped working. It’s really annoying when I’m paying a bill because I don’t want to accidentally pay twice. I include my system logs every time it crashes but I don’t have this problem w/ any other app.
Mobile Chrome doesn’t support add-ons, but Firefox does, this browser rocks. I use it for most online tasks. Note it does have a few oddities. For example sites that use a magnifying glass as a search icon instead get a small “fl”
