Extremely useful; helps me to quickly gain an insight into my network function and to more easily troubleshoot any problem that arises. A truly excellent app!

Generally I like the app. I would like the option to scan for a longer period (at least a minute) so less chatty devices are detected and sleeping ones can be deliberately woken up. I’d also like a ‘last seen’ display.

Andrew Tranchina
Was a great app. Recently though it no longer detects the ssid and treats every single network as the same network. Fairly useless now.

I think they just killed this app. With the new update I have no idea how to work this app. They killed it !!°

Seth Barry
I had to uninstall the program because its updates keep trying to establish Fing as a resource-intensive network detection agent for the highly paranoid, and I just want a simple client detection tool.

Can no longer scan any Network and now has even more annoying ads that don’t conform to the theme thus cannot even read them

Since many versions ago, every Wi-Fi network isn’t detected appropriately. They all are shown as “unknown SSID” and are treated as a single network (merging all devices).

Sam Magee
A fast and accurate network scan with the ability to give devices names and icons, you can also scan other networks you connect to and keep them separate from your home network and refresh as needed. Brilliant.

It’s been a great app but now either version 7.0.0 or 7.0.1 aborts operating soon after start and issues a “stopped” error message. (BLU LIFE-8 XL, Android 4.4.2)… Hopefully this problem can be resolved soon. EDIT: Fing version 7.0.2 appears to have fixed the previous Android 4.4.x issue… Five Stars once again… Thanks Dev!

Can spot devices on your home network. The ability to name devices and change the symbol is really good. Works well on Nexus 7 (2012). Can spot when teenagers, who are meant to be sleeping, turn on their phones at night. 09/06/2018 – The latest update crashes on startup. Running 4.4.2 on Samsung Galaxy Tab Back to stars as 4.4 crash fixed.

Unstable app. I had 5 devices connected. It could only detect 3. After countless refreshes, it could pick up 4. All my devices were on the same table, distance not a problem. I consider this app a failure.

This is the best wifi discovery app I have downloaded so far. Everything was cool and awesome until the last update. Now I can’t even open the app anymore. It’s stopping instantly when I’m trying to open the app. Fix this please. I use this app everyday more than 10 times a day!

Iain Hawkins
Used to be near perfect, but the latest update has stopped auto-detecting the wireless network thay you’re on.

Issac Wessing
This app was great until the most recent update. I can’t scan an external ip and its not just harder to find, its gone.

Alberto Fischel
Excellent and useful app. Recommended for the IT people Just one detail, Have problems with the last update. The ping Service of this app. is not working

Ron Wiersma
I love this app it goes real deep into your network with a very friendly user interface it is my go-to every time I have a network problem and I can usually solve it using this program I highly recommend it to anybody Seven Stars if it was possible

Have used for a couple of years, well designed app and always found technically very useful, would recommend to anyone wanting to know what is going on on their network. Many thanks guys

Really amazed by this application. You see all the devices on your network, you can rename them, set icons, and even perform operations like pinging. Great tool!

*New Review* Why has the “Tools” section been removed? The Whois function amongst traceroute were perfectly packaged into this app and out of the blue has just been gutted. Not happy. (Fingbox Owner) *Previous Review* It’s a great app, would love it if the bandwidth analysis option displayed all devices and the amount they are using without crashing or not appearing.

App User
After updating the app to version 7.0.1 today it now always shuts down immediately, running Android 4.4.2. Neither forcing the app to stop, nor clearing its cache, nor restarting the device makes any difference. I look forward to your fix ASAP as it’s been a great, useful, reliable app hitherto for the past 2 or 3 years. Thanks in anticipation.

The latest update has made Fing even better than before. That I didn’t think was possible, but proven wrong. Lots more network intell and organized very efficiently. Tells me everything I need to know when I want to know it. The most important network tools at your fingertips. Great job devs! Really love it!!

Used this 5 star app for years but now suffering from Android 4.4 compatibility crashes. Can I install previous version while you investigate and solve the issue? Tried the 7.0.1 version but still crashes when the refresh option is used. Works ok when re-installed.

It just works. Leaning towards the more sysadmin side of things, there are a few features missing or more than a few clicks away. BUT that being said, if you need a lan scanner, especially to help wrangle in wild devices and servers this app EILL get the job done. No question. Though, i do recommend the ‘dark theme’ the bright theme is just a little too much.

App was great! Plz add new device connected notification! That will help us to prevent wifi theft

Yancey Oling
how to block device i don’t have the block device button how to have that im so sick of watching on youtube pls reply i needed thi thing

Great app. Use fling and app in conjunction with RaTrap firewall appliance and am impressed with the Fling app ability to give you immediate feedback on what’s going on in your network. Especially, the open ports, speed test, and who’s connected.

Thank you for the quick bug fix, appriciate it. I find this app extremely useful than I expected from first install, can find out who’s on the network and wake certain PCs on the nextwork

I keep having an issue where the app puts every new SSID I scan under a single “”. I have to continuously delete the unknown ssid and start again. It’s not keeping track of my devices anymore and it’s almost useless at this point.

Just JJ
This app has finally became bloated due to forced user data tracking. I’ll be keeping the version which is older than v7.

Craig Stodolenak
7.0 update breaks proper reading of the SSID on Android (iOS appears unaffected). All scans report an SSID of ”unknown ssid”.
