Note: Receiving voicemail on this app does not count against your data rate plan allotment while on the AT&T network. A cellular data connection is required; AT&T Visual Voicemail does not work on a Wi-Fi only connection. International data and messaging charges apply to receiving, replying to, and forwarding voicemail messages while roaming internationally. Data and messaging used in replying to and forwarding voicemail messages via SMS, MMS, or e-mail are counted against your data and/or messaging plan, and applicable charges apply if data and/or messaging plan limits are exceeded. Data charges may apply when downloading this application or using text transcription. This app may send a free one-time SMS to AT&T to retrieve mailbox information.

Decent enough app. Visual voicemail on my prior phone must have been built-in because I had never used this app to get my voicemail, but on my new phone I have to. I can’t just tap a msg and it begins playing like on my old phone, now it opens another screen and then I have to tap again to start playback. Not a deal breaker , just a little slower. I like the msg transcription, but not all msgs appear to get transcribed so don’t understand the pattern they yet. Overall I like it so far. Don’t care for the ui fonts and Color scheme though. Seems dated and rough.
The June 2018 update broke the app. No longer connects to voicemail. It was previously a tolerable but poorly designed app but now it’s utterly useless. Really AT&T? How about using some of those new “administrative” fees you are collecting from customers to write a decent voicemail app?
It plays voicemails. Sometimes. I have to manually update to get it to display new voicemails. It takes 15-20 seconds to delete a message. The transcripts are hilariously inaccurate. But it’s still better than having to call voicemail and go through the audio menu.

App stopped working since the upgrade a few days ago. When upgraded, it became AT&T visual voicemail. Doesnt offer free transcription of voicemails like other providers
Convenient app. Latest revision has started sending multiple alerts when a vm is available instead of 1. It also sends multiple alerts when you delete a vm. Quite annoying. Voice 2 text is wrong 50% of the time but you can get the meaning.
Used to work — kind of. Previous version never automatically downloaded new messages. When I saw a missed call I selected “refresh” to load. Now with this new version nothing happens when I get a new call and refresh. So a mediocre app is now worthless
This app does just what you want it to without any added bloat. You can listen, transcribe, save, download, and share your voicemails. A must if you have AT&T Visual Voicemail.
The app isn’t good, but tolerable. The real issue… AT&T refuses to utilize a better system that other carriers have been adopting; newer Android has this ability integrated into the phone dialer. They force us to use this separate app for silly reasons.
This app doesn’t even work. No voicemails show up on it. I get a notification when I get a voicemail from the Asus UI, but the Visual Voicemail app is empty. I have to use the dialer to get my voicemail the old fashioned way.
It shows my voicemails alright, but the transcriptions are pretty bad… I’ve never had them be anywhere near accurate, and words are frequently missing or wildly wrong, so I end up having to listen to the message audio every time anyway.
Galaxy Android- The app Suddenly stopped working. Cant log in/cant sign in. Keeps sending me coded texts and then saying it cant find my account…… Uninstalled.
Last update broke it. Cannot get voicemail through this app. Have to dial into voicemail now. Massive corporation whose fees keep increasing while their service keeps declining.
The app used to be barely acceptable, but it worked. After June update, everytime I reboot, the welcome to visual voicemail splash appears. Also, I’m forced to enable access to my texts to be able to use? No thanks AT&T. Forget saying it’s for transcription, that doesn’t work right anyway. I don’t want transcription, and I’m not willing to give rights access to any app they wants rights that aren’t needed. Uninstalling. Oh well no more visual voicemail. I guess I’ll change my greeting to “please don’t leave a voicemail, as AT&T sucks and I can’t access unless I go old school using the number pad. Please text or email me instead.”
It used to work well, now I have to call the voicemail # , put my password in to get my voicemail, not thru the app. Galaxy S8, OS8.0.0. Samsung Experience 9.0
Stopped working recently. Bare bones UX otherwise. Would not recommend, but don’t have a choice.
Got a new phone, so downloaded this app. Had it on my old phone, and it worked perfectly. Now it doesn’t. Sometimes it logs my voicemail, most of the time it doesn’t. It’s been 2 weeks since it logged a message. Also, I enabled transcription, but most of the time that doesn’t function, either.
TURN ON “Show Transcriptions” (!) As best I’m aware this was defaulted OFF from day 1, making my visual voicemail very non-visual (many months of being annoyed) I’m no n00b, but could have been my error, so… a merciful 4. (previous visual voice apps have had more features…)
Notifications are too excessive. Every time I play a voicemail, a notification pops up, blocking access to the top row buttons (delete, etc.)
Decent enough, but like some users observed, the recent update broke the app. Ended up having to uninstall and reinstall, then set up again. Even then it kept giving an error, but after having to access my voicemail the “traditional” way, somehow it magically connected and setup after I hung up.
As soon as I put the phone up to my ear, it pauses playing the voicemail message. Extremely inconvenient.

I try to erase a voicemail and it just won’t do it. Also won’t save. :-/weird. Not recommended. Verizon’s one works much better!
Does not work “AT ALL” since the June update. Won’t even connect. Switched to youmail and very glad I did.
The last update broke it. It no longer pulls voice mail from the built in system to the app. Refresh doesn’t work anymore. Fix it please!
Had it set up, and then latest update needed me to set up again. But this time it failed to set up, so now it doesn’t work.
I CHOOSE THIS VISUAL VOICEMAIL AFTER READING ABOUT IT’S SERVICES. I HAVE BEEN TRYING AND TRYING DAILY AND NIGHTLY FOR CLOSE TO A MONTH NOW……. AND I STILL CAN’T GAIN ACCESS TO VM OR EVEN READ IT SOME HOW. THIS NERVE-RACKING APP MADE MANY OF A PAST VM (EXTREMELY IMPORTANT VM) MESSAGE I RECEIVED HAVE TO HAVE BEEN MISSED. THE CALLERS/SENDERS OF VM’S HAD TO INFORM ME OF THE MESSAGES CONTENT THAT HAD BEEN VM TO ME ” IDENTIFIED TO ME AS ONLY A CALLER NUMBER IN SEQUENCE WITH ALL THE OTHER VM MESSAGES HIDDEN FROM IDENTITY”……..IDK HOW ELSE TO ACCESS A WAY TO GET MY VISUAL VOICEMAIL WORK AGAIN??? THE HELP DESKS AND SUPPORT DESKS I INQUIRED ABOUT THIS ISSUE, ALL I ALWAYS RECEIVED BACK WERE STEP-BY-STEP “GO IN TO YOUR PHONES SETTINGS AND TAP ON ……….” ASSISTANCE THAT FAILED TO CLEAR UP THE PROBLEM WITH THE VM BECAUSE THE SCREENS THAT ARE SUPPOSED TO SHOW “WHATTHEY SHOULD SHOW,” TO TAP ON AFTER YOU DO THIS OR THAT…”📵AND NOTHING
Was working until couple weeks ago. I’m not getting any notifications for my voicemails and they’re not showing up at all in the app.
I did work on another phone. I replaced my phone with an identical model and the app won’t display text of the message.
No volume. Piss poor transcription. It made me miss a Dr appointment, cost me 250.00😠
This has not worked for me since March. Worthless App!
A person buys a AT&T card I suggest you do not by AT&T you punch in your card number and they say that the card is already used so therefore you are out $65 all the back of the card it says non-refundable for people that do not know this so if you purchase one at Walmart you are out $65
Never works even though it used to on my old phone. Now only very rarely works, but the new update changed that. App doesn’t even connect to my ATT voicemail at all now. Completely useless. ATT PLEASE FIX THIS APP!
Well I have a complaint for one since I can’t sign back in and everytime I try to get an operator it says that they are unavailable so I can’t listen to my voicemail since I can’t remember my password.
Transcriptions are so badly garbled that I can’t understand them. Sometimes messages go to the old messaging app. Looking for a replacement.
The app used to work. Now it doesn’t connect to voicemail at all. I actually have to dial my voicemail number to retrieve messages now.
Worked perfectly fine before the last update when it decided to reset. Now it won’t setup anymore and has become worthless.
I DO NOT appreciate being forced to use this app just to listen to my messages. I don’t need some electronic system transcribing my messages for me. I have pens and paper for that. Also, I don’t want my information being shared with their “partners.” Not to mention, the data charges you incur if you actually use the transcription option. READ THE TERMS, PEOPLE!! Not using this, and I can’t get to my messages that have been left since they blocked me out of the old system. AT&T SUCKS!
works well most of the time. I’m not sure what happened lately but messages are not downloading right away. have to refresh before messages downloaded
On Pixel 2 the earpeice volume is through the roof. I wish ATT would work with Google at get the built in VVM working.
